How To Make Low Fat Banana Fritters

For these banana fritters, ripe bananas are mashed and shaped like pancakes before pan-frying in minimal fat. They’re delicious even when not deep-fried.

Total: 40 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 3bananas,medium, very ripe
  • 2tbspsugar
  • 2eggs,large, beaten
  • 3tbspflour
  • ½tspvanilla extract
  • Pam,buttered flavored
  • ½tspcinnamon,plus more to sprinkle on top
  • 1tsppowdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Mash the bananas.

  2. Add sugar, eggs, flour and vanilla.

  3. In a large skillet, heat on low flame.

  4. When hot, spray with Pam and using a tablespoon, pour 1 tablespoon of batter for each fritter.

  5. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes on each side.

  6. Set aside in a dish and keep warm in the oven while cooking the rest of the batter.

  7. When ready to serve, put 4 on a plate and top with a little powdered sugar and cinnamon.

  8. Serve with low fat ice cream.
