  • 6lbchicken breasts,boneless, skinless
  • 2tspsalt
  • 2tspblack pepper
  • 2tspgarlic powder
  • ½cupwater,or chicken broth, optional


  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker, and sprinkle with seasonings.

  2. Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours, or until the chicken shreds easily with a fork.

  3. Remove the chicken with tongs, and shred using two forks or the paddle attachment of a stand mixer.

  4. Use immediately, or freeze in ziplock bags or a sealed container.
