How To Make Oyster Fritters
A crispy and savory dish made with fresh oysters and a light batter.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of black pepper
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp of hot sauce
- 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of green onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup of fresh oysters, drained and chopped
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and green onions.

Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a smooth batter is formed.

Gently fold in the chopped oysters.

In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Drop tablespoons of batter into the hot oil, frying until golden brown and crispy on both sides.

Drain the fritters on paper towels and serve immediately.
