How To Make Crispy Beer-Battered Fish Bites

  • 12 oz. bottle beer
  • 2 cup flour
  • salt
  • pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 lb. skinless halibut (bones removed and slices into bite-size pieces , or cod fillets)
  • oil (for frying)
  1. In a large skillet, heat oil until bubbling.
  2. In a large bowl, gently whisk together beer and flour.
  3. Stir in salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Season fish pieces with extra salt and pepper, coat in beer batter, and fry in oil until golden.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve.
