Ingredients

  • 12 oz bow tie pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions and drain.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute.

  4. Add crushed tomatoes, salt, and black pepper and bring to a simmer.

  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

  6. Add ricotta cheese and stir until smooth.

  7. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.

  8. Top with chopped fresh basil and serve.
