- 4lbschicken,cut into 8 pieces
- 4cupsbuttermilk
- 1tbspsalt
- 3cupsall-purpose flour
- 0.7ozdry Italian-style salad dressing mix,(1 package)
- 1tsppoultry seasoning
- ½tspsalt
- 1tspground black pepper
- oil,for frying

In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the chicken, buttermilk and salt. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.

Heat the oil in deep-fryer to 375 degrees F.
