Ingredients
- 1 box mashed potatoes
- salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp margarine
- 1 ½ lb lean ground beef
- 1 onion, large, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 8 oz fresh mushrooms
- 1 can condensed tomato soup, (10 oz)
- salt , to taste
- seasoned pepper, to taste
- 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Prepare mashed potatoes according to box instructions.
- In a large skillet, saute ground beef, onion, and garlic until meat is browned.
- Add mushrooms and cook until tender. Drain fat.
- Stir in soup and mushrooms; season with salt and pepper.

Simmer for 2 minutes until mushrooms are tender.

Pour into a greased 2-quart casserole.
- Spoon mashed potatoes over the beef mixture, and sprinkle cheese over all.
