How To Make Spiced Grilled Pineapple with Maple Sesame Brittle

- 1 pineapple, peeled and sliced into rings
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup sugar
Instructions

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger, and cayenne pepper.

Brush the pineapple slices with the maple syrup mixture on both sides.

Grill the pineapple slices for about 2-3 minutes per side, until grill marks appear.

While the pineapple is grilling, heat a small pan over medium heat and add the sesame seeds.

Toast the sesame seeds for about 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until they become golden brown.

Sprinkle the sugar over the toasted sesame seeds and continue to stir until the sugar has melted and coated the sesame seeds.

Transfer the sesame brittle onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and let it cool and harden.

Once the pineapple is grilled, remove it from the grill and let it cool slightly.

Serve the grilled pineapple slices topped with pieces of the maple sesame brittle.
