Ingredients

  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until browned and caramelized, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes.

  3. Transfer the onions to a cutting board and finely chop them.

  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped onions, sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  5. Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe baking dish and bake for 10 minutes, or until heated through.

  6. Serve the burnt onion dip warm with your favorite chips or vegetable sticks.
