Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 0 minutes
Total: 10 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey, and matcha green tea powder. Whisk until well combined and smooth.

  2. Place the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually for about 20-25 minutes.

  3. While the frozen yogurt is churning, prepare the sesame brittle shards. In a small saucepan, toast the sesame seeds over medium heat until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. In a separate saucepan, melt the sugar over medium heat until it turns a deep amber color. Quickly stir in the toasted sesame seeds and pour the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Allow it to cool and harden.

  5. Once the frozen yogurt has finished churning, transfer it to a freezer-safe container and freeze for an additional 2-3 hours.

  6. To serve, break the sesame brittle shards into small pieces and sprinkle them over the green tea frozen yogurt.

  7. Enjoy!
