You can impress any BBQ fanatic with this sweet and tangy homemade BBQ sauce! It still has that smokey and sweet barbecue taste but with a hint of tang from the balsamic vinegar.

How To Make Balsamic Vinegar BBQ Sauce

  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • cup muscovado sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp dry mustard
  • salt and ground black pepper, to taste


  1. Combine all ingredients, except salt and pepper, in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until all ingredients are combined.

  2. Reduce heat to a simmer and let the sauce reduce by ½ in volume, stirring occasionally.

  3. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Adjust accordingly.

  4. Store in a glass container and keep in the refrigerator for at least 1 day before using on any meat of choice.
