How To Make Lavender Margaritas
This isn't your ordinary margarita because it's aromatic scent comes from dried lavender buds.
Ingredients
- 4 fl oz tequila, (4 shots)
- 2 fl oz lavender simple syrup, (2 shots) (recipe below)
- 1 fl oz lime juice, (1 shot)
- ½ fl oz orange liqueur, (½ shot)
- 1 tbsp lavender sugar , or as needed
- ice cubes, as needed
- lime wedges , as needed
Lavender Simple Syrup:
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
- 2 tbsp dried lavender buds
Instructions
For the Lavender Simple Syrup:

Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepot and bring it to a boil. Continue boiling until the sugar has dissolved completely, no more than 5 minutes.

Once melted, remove the syrup away from the heat. Add your lavender buds and stir to combine.

Set aside and allow to infuse in the syrup for at least 3 hours. Strain the syrup once infused and discard any solids.
To prepare the drink:

Place some lavender sugar onto a saucer.

Moisten the rim of either your rock or cocktail glass with a lime wedge, then place the rim down onto the lavender sugar to coat. Set the glass aside.

Into a cocktail shaker, fill it up with roughly ⅓ cup ice, then pour in your alcohol, lavender syrup, and lime juice.

Shake to combine, then strain and pour the margarita into your chosen glass.

Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy your lavender margarita!
