- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup brewed coffee
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 tbsp orange zest

In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream, coffee, and sugar over medium heat until hot but not boiling.

Slowly pour the hot cream mixture into the egg yolks, whisking constantly.

Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
