How To Make Cow Patty Cookies

This fun cookies recipe is a healthy and luscious mix of oats, peanut butter, and chocolate. Walnuts add some welcome crunch to this sweet treat.

  • 2cupswhite sugar
  • 5tbspcocoa powder,unsweetened
  • ½cupunsalted butter
  • ½cupcrunchy peanut butter
  • 1tspvanilla extract
  • 3cupsquick cooking oats
  • ½cupwalnuts,chopped
  • ½cupmilk


  1. Cover baking sheets with wax paper and set aside.

  2. Combine sugar and cocoa in a large saucepan. Stir in milk, butter and peanut butter.

  3. Cook and stir over medium heat until butter melts and mixture is combined. This will take about 5 to 20 minutes. Remove from heat.

  4. Stir in the vanilla, oats and nuts, and mix thoroughly. Take a teaspoon and scoop out a spoonful of the mixture; drop the spoonful onto the waxed paper-covered baking sheet.

  5. Repeat with the rest of the mixture. Place in the refrigerator until the cookies are cooled and set.

  6. Store the cookies in an airtight container.
