A chocolate and orange piece of heaven, great with strawberries and cake for dipping. For best results use a chocolate that is at least 70 percent cocoa.
How To Make Chocolate Orange Fondue
Rich and intense chocolate plus zesty and fruity orange dipping sauce
Ingredients
- 12 oz dark chocolate, or white chocolate, bars or chips, shaved if using bars
- 1¼ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup orange liqueur
- orange juice, from 1 orange
- orange zest, from 1 orange
- salt, to taste
To Serve:
- your choice of accompaniments
Instructions

Combine orange liqueur and orange juice in a saucepot. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Continue boiling until most of the alcohol has evaporated and is almost syrupy, roughly 10 minutes. Set aside at room temperature to cool completely.

Heat the cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it starts to bubble at the edges.

Remove from the heat, and immediately whisk in the chocolate, orange zest, and cooled down orange syrup until smooth.

Adjust seasoning with salt to balance out the sweetness.

Serve immediately with your choice of accompaniments, preferably in a fondue pot over the lowest heat setting, or farthest from the heat source.
