How To Make Chocolate Chip Traybake

Ingredients

  • 200g self-raising flour
  • 150g unsalted butter, softened
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a rectangular baking tray.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and caster sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. Sift the self-raising flour into the bowl and fold it in gently until well combined.

  5. Stir in the chocolate chips, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

  6. Transfer the batter to the greased baking tray and spread it out evenly.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Allow the traybake to cool in the tray for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  9. Cut into squares or rectangles and serve.
