How To Make Japanese Beef Teriyaki Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. mirin
  • 2 tbsp. sake
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, and cornstarch.

  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

  3. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

  4. Add beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  5. Pour in teriyaki sauce and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes until the sauce has thickened and coated the beef.

  6. Serve hot with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish.
