How To Make Japanese Beef and Miso Soup
A hearty and flavorful soup that combines tender beef, savory miso, and nutritious vegetables.

Ingredients
- 1 lb beef chuck, sliced thin
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp white miso
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 stalks celery, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions

Heat vegetable oil in a pot over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add onion, garlic, and ginger and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

Add sliced carrots and celery and continue to simmer for another 20 minutes until vegetables are tender.

In a small bowl, whisk miso with a ladleful of hot broth until smooth. Add miso mixture to the pot and stir to combine.

Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve with a sprinkle of sliced green onions and cooked rice.
