How To Make Malaysian Rojak Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 pineapple, peeled and cubed
  • 2 medium potatoes, boiled and cubed
  • 2 cups of bean sprouts
  • 1/2 cup of roasted peanuts, chopped
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup of tamarind juice
  • 2 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of shrimp paste
  • 1 tbsp of vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic, red chili, tamarind juice, brown sugar, salt, and shrimp paste to make the peanut sauce.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cucumber, pineapple, potatoes, and bean sprouts.

  3. Pour the peanut sauce over the salad and toss until well combined.

  4. Top the salad with chopped peanuts.

  5. Serve immediately.
