How To Make Jamie Oliver’s Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe
A classic Italian pasta dish made with spaghetti, eggs, pancetta, parmesan cheese, and black pepper.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 400g dried spaghetti
- 150g pancetta, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, finely sliced
- 3 large free-range eggs
- 100g Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
-
Cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente.
-
While spaghetti is cooking, fry pancetta and garlic in a frying pan until pancetta is crispy.
-
In a small bowl, whisk together eggs and grated Parmesan cheese.
-
Drain spaghetti and add it to the frying pan with pancetta and garlic. Toss all together well.
-
Remove from the heat and add the egg and Parmesan mixture, tossing quickly (but gently) to avoid scrambling the egg.
-
Season with salt and black pepper.
-
Serve immediately.
