  • 4 slices of rustic bread
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  2. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes, until lightly golden brown.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  4. Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and rub each slice with a cut garlic clove for extra flavor.

  5. Spoon the tomato mixture over each toast slice, dividing evenly.
