How To Make Captain George’s Scallop Stir-Fry Recipe
A delicious and filling seafood stir-fry dish using plump and tender scallops cooked to perfection with vegetables and a savory sauce.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb scallops
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1/4 cup of water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat.

Add the vegetable oil and swirl to coat the pan.

Add the bell peppers and onions to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until slightly softened.

Add the garlic and ginger to the pan and stir-fry for an additional 30 seconds.

Add the scallops to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes or until just cooked through.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch mixture until smooth.

Pour the sauce over the scallop stir-fry and toss to coat evenly.

Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Serve immediately, garnished with chopped cilantro if desired.
