Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup miso paste
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together miso paste, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.

  3. Place the chicken wings in a large ziplock bag and pour in the miso caramel sauce. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or overnight.

  4. Remove the chicken wings from the marinade and place them on the prepared baking sheet, discarding the leftover marinade.

  5. Bake the chicken wings in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are cooked through and crispy.

  6. Remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

  7. Serve the miso caramel chicken wings hot as a delicious appetizer.
