Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sake, mirin, honey, grated ginger, and minced garlic.

  3. Place the chicken wings in a large ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and shake to coat the wings evenly.

  4. Marinate the wings in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for more flavor.

  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the marinated chicken wings in a single layer.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip the wings and bake for another 20 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown.

  7. Remove the chicken wings from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
