How To Make Low-Carb French Tortilla Toast
A quick and easy recipe for those who fancy that classic taste of french toast in the morning without the guilt! Made with whole wheat tortillas in place of bread, these scrumptious little morsel of breakfast goodness can certainly be a hit in the morning.
Ingredients
- 2 whole-wheat tortillas, or low-carb tortillas, cut in ¼'s
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp water
- 2 tsp sugar substitute, of your choice, preferably Splenda
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, for frying
To serve:
- 1 tbsp agave syrup, or any low-carb syrup of your choice
Instructions

Combine eggs, water, sugar alternative, and cinnamon in a bowl. Whisk until the sugar alternative has dissolved and all are evenly incorporated. Set aside.

Melt butter on a skillet set at slightly higher than medium heat.

Dip the tortillas pieces in the egg mixture and fry until both sides are golden brown.

Serve with some sliced fruits and the low-carb syrup of your choice.
