How To Make Watermelon Vodka Jelly Shots

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of watermelon cubes
  • 3/4 cup of vodka
  • 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin
  • Watermelon slices, for garnish
  • Mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, puree the watermelon cubes until smooth. Set aside.

  2. In a small saucepan, combine the vodka, lime juice, sugar, and gelatin. Let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the gelatin to bloom.

  3. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until the gelatin and sugar are fully dissolved.

  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool for 5 minutes.

  5. Pour the watermelon puree into the saucepan and whisk until well combined.

  6. Divide the mixture among shot glasses or small molds.

  7. Place the shot glasses or molds in the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours, or until set.

  8. Garnish with watermelon slices and mint leaves before serving.
