Old Fashioned Cranberry Relish Recipe

This is a cranberry relish that has been in my family and has been made for over 50 years. My grandmother made it for many years before I started making it. I keep it on hand most of the winter months, not just at the holiday season.

How To Make Old Fashioned Cranberry Relish

A wonderfully easy recipe for scrumptious cranberry relish that goes so well with your light roasted meats, such as turkey or ham.

Prep: 15 mins
Total: 15 mins

  • 1 pkg fresh cranberries
  • 4 apples, unpeeled
  • 2 oranges, peeled
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 drops red food coloring

  1. Ground cranberries, apples and oranges this and mix in a large bowl.
  2. Add sugar and food coloring and mix really well.
  3. Chill for several days before serving so flavors mix well.
  4. Keeps covered in refrigerator for a long time.
  5. Also you can add nuts when ready to serve but they get soft so it does not keep well if you add nuts.
  6. I take part of it and add nuts and leave part plain as so many of my family have nut allergies.
