This delicious cranberry sauce gives the canned version a run for it’s money. Not only will you be making it from scratch but you get a sweeter and fresher taste right off the fruit.

How To Make Native American Cranberry Sauce

  • 1 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 4 cup cranberries (fresh )
  1. Bring syrup, water and ginger to boil in heavy 2 1/2-qt. saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Stir in cranberries. Simmer until berries begin to pop, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 

  3. Mash lightly. Turn into bowl and let cool. Cover and refigerate.
