Conjure up many as you want and keep them refrigerated to last longer. They act as a delicious and creamy spread for bread and pastries.
How To Make Apple Butter
Ingredients
- 3 lb apples, a crisp, juicy sour apple is best
- 1 cup cider juice, or apple juice
- 3 cup sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1 dash salt
Instructions

Peel and core apples. Cut into eighths. Blend 1/3 cup cider or apple juice. Blenderize 4-5 pieces of apples at a time.

Blend 30 seconds on high speed. After 5 seconds remove cover and add about 1/3 of the apples..

Empty into a sauce pan. Repeat process with the remaining apples. Add sugar and spices to mixture in sauce pan.

Cook over low heat (not too high or sugar will burn) for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally and cooking slowly until thick.

Pour into jars and seal to keep or simply keep in the refrigerator in jars to enjoy.
