Ingredients

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1 cup of apple butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.

  3. Gradually add the flour and salt to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.

  4. Press two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.

  5. Spread the apple butter evenly over the crust.

  6. Crumble the remaining dough over the apple butter layer.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

  9. Serve and enjoy!
