How To Make Basic Funeral Potatoes

Ingredients
- 4 cups frozen shredded potatoes
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups crushed cornflakes
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, combine sour cream, cream of chicken soup, melted butter, shredded cheddar cheese, diced onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Stir in the frozen shredded potatoes until well coated.

Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.

In a separate bowl, combine crushed cornflakes and melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the potato mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through and the top is golden brown.
