  • 1 9-inch pie crust
  • 4 cups fresh plums, pitted and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • Whipped cream, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the sliced plums, granulated sugar, lemon juice, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well to coat the plums.

  4. Pour the plum mixture into the prepared pie crust.

  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.

  6. Pour the custard mixture over the plum filling in the pie crust.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the custard is set and the crust is golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
