  • 2 large taro roots
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Cooking spray


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Peel and slice the taro roots into thin chips using a mandoline slicer.

  3. Place the taro chips in a bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, paprika, and garlic powder until evenly coated.

  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and lightly coat with cooking spray.

  5. Arrange the taro chips in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure they do not overlap.

  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chips are crispy and golden brown, flipping them halfway through.

  7. Remove from the oven and let the chips cool for a few minutes before serving.
