How To Make Bean And Barley Soup With Ham
Make the cold season a bit warmer by serving this bean and barley soup. It's made with ham, potatoes, and tomatoes for a loaded meal.
Ingredients
- 6 oz potatoes, finely diced
- 2½ oz carrot, finely diced
- 8 cups water, or vegetable broth
- 4 cups white beans, or any of choice, canned and undrained
- 2 cups ham, finely diced, cooked
- 1 cup barley
- 1 cup tomatoes, deseeded and diced
- 1 bay leaf
- salt and ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions

In a crock pot, add the potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, bay leaf, beans, barley, ham, and water or vegetable broth.

Cook on high for 5 hours.

Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Portion and serve!
