  • 2 tsp horseradish, prepared
  • 1 tsp fresh chives, or green onions,, snipped or sliced thinly
  • 4 tbsp sour cream
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 bagels, sliced in half
  • 8 oz roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz swiss cheese slices
  • 2 oz mixed lettuce leaves
  • salt and ground black pepper, to taste


  1. In a small bowl, mix horseradish, chives, and sour cream. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Spread 1 tablespoon butter on one bagel half followed by 1 tablespoon horseradish mixture on the other half.

  3. Portion the roast beef, cheese, and lettuce equally among the 3 bagel halves.

  4. Top each slice with another bagel half. Serve.
