Grown-Up Grilled Cheese With Tomatoes & Spinach Recipe

A traditional grilled cheese sandwich is yummy but at times boring. To make this sandwich more exciting and tempting, add tomatoes and spinach! This sandwich is a great way to put more vegetables in your child’s diet. It will become a family favorite!

Ingredients

  • 3 slices American cheese
  • ½ tomato, cut slices
  • ½ cup spinach
  • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Take the pieces of bread and butter one side.
  2. Take two slices of cheese and place it on each slice of bread.
  3. Then take the third slice of cheese and divide it so each piece of bread has 2 ½ slices of cheese.

  4. Put the spinach and tomatoes on the bottom piece of bread.
  5. Close the sandwich.
  6. Take a frying pan and put the sandwich in it.
  7. To flatten the sandwich, place a frying pan on it.
  8. When the side starts to turn golden brown flip it.
  9. Once the panini is cooked, place it on a plate.
  10. Cut diagonally and serve.
  11. As a garnish, place the basil leaves next to the panini.
