Ingredients

  • 12 oz bow tie pasta
  • 4 Italian sausages, sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

  3. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. Add the sliced peppers, onion, and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

  5. Add the diced tomatoes (with juice) and the dried basil and oregano to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

  6. Allow the tomato mixture to simmer for 10-15 minutes until slightly thickened.

  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sausage and pepper mixture. Stir to combine.

  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
