Ingredients

  • 8 oz. bow tie pasta
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions.

  2. While pasta is cooking, place basil, garlic, pine nuts, and Parmesan cheese in a food processor. Pulse until well combined.

  3. Slowly pour in olive oil while blending. Blend until mixture is smooth.

  4. Drain pasta and return to pot. Pour pesto sauce over pasta and toss until pasta is coated evenly.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot.
