Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.

  3. Add the chopped onion, diced bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender.

  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. Add the cooked macaroni to the skillet and mix well to combine.

  6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
