How To Make Smoked Turkey (Without Smoker)

Ingredients
- 1 whole turkey (12-14 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon of dried sage
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).

Rinse the turkey and pat it dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, dried thyme, dried rosemary, dried sage, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to make a rub.

Rub the olive oil all over the turkey, then sprinkle the rub evenly over the entire turkey, making sure to get into the crevices and under the skin.

Place the turkey on a rack in a roasting pan, breast side up.

Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part of the thigh.

Remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
