Tart cranberries and sweet maple creates a medley of tasty flavors over this juicy and savory vegetarian-friendly sausage skillet!

  • 6Morningstar Farms® Maple Flavored Veggie Sausage Patties,(1 package)
  • 4cupshash brown potatoes,southern style, frozen
  • 2tbspvegetable oil
  • ½cupgreen onions,sliced
  • ½cupred bell pepper,chopped
  • ¼tspgarlic salt
  • cupdried cranberries
  • ¼cupvegetable broth
  • 4slicescheddar cheese,or swiss


  1. Chop the Morningstar Farms® Maple Flavored Veggie Sausage Patties into quarters. Set aside.

  2. In 12-inch nonstick skillet cook potatoes in hot oil, uncovered, over medium-high heat for 6 minutes without stirring. Stir in onions and bell pepper. Sprinkle with garlic salt.

  3. Continue cooking for 5 to 8 minutes more or until potatoes are browned, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium.

  4. Stir in veggie patties and cranberries. Drizzle with broth. Cover.

  5. Continue cooking for 2 to 3 minutes more or until heated through. Remove cover. Cook 1 minute more or until moisture evaporates.

  6. Remove from heat.

  7. Place the cheese slices on top, cover, then let stand for 1 to 2 minutes or until the cheese melts.

  8. Serve and enjoy!
