Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 slices of bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, onion, bell pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on a greased baking sheet.

  4. Arrange the bacon slices over the top of the loaf.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

  6. Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
