Butter Stuffed Burger Recipe

This is nothing quite like your regular burger. This delicious mouthful is made with caramelized vegetables, a butter stuffed juicy patty served on a warm toasted bun. Try this out and be the talk of the grill party!

How To Make Butter Stuffed Burger

Compound butter

  • 4 oz butter (softened )
  • 3 tbsp basil (chopped )
  • 2 tbsp oregano (chopped)
  • 1 tsp ground pepper

Burger

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • Swiss cheese (sliced, as desired)
  • Burger buns (as desired)
  • tomatoes (sliced, as desired)
  • onions (sliced, as desired)
  • carrots (finely sliced, as desired)
  • lettuce (finely sliced, as desired)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)

Preparing the Compound Butter:

  1. In a bowl, mix the softened butter together with the basil, oregano and ground pepper.

  2. Once the ingredients are well mixed, spread the butter mixture on a wax paper sheet.

  3. Roll it up into a log and let it re-solidify in the freezer for 30 minutes.

Making the burger:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

  2. Take out the now-solid butter and carefully slice it into circles and leave aside.

  3. Place the ground beef in a bowl and mix it with some salt and pepper.

  4. Once the meat is seasoned, form 2 palm-sized patties and add one slice of the compound butter between them. Put them together, seal the sides and set aside.

  5. Repeat until you’ve finished all the meat and butter slices.

  6. Place the stuffed patties on the grill for 6-8 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.

  7. Just before you remove the patties, add a slice of Swiss cheese on top and let it melt.

  8. In another pan, caramelize the onions and tomato slices. Set aside.

  9. Add a few burger buns on the grill to get them warm and toasted.

  10. Assemble the burger by adding the sliced carrots and lettuce on the bottom bun first, followed by the stuffed patty, a slice of tomato, some caramelized onions and top it off with the top bun. Enjoy!
