How To Make Tropical Lime Cake

Make a zesty dessert with this deliciously moist lime cake! It’s baked with lemon boxed cake, flavored gelatin, and citrus juices for a tangy sweet treat.

  • 18.25ozlemon cake mix,(1 package)
  • 3ozlime flavored Jell-O mix,(1 package)
  • 5eggs
  • 1cupvegetable oil
  • ¾cuporange juice,fresh
  • ½cuplime juice,fresh
  • 2cupsconfectioner’s sugar


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9×13-inch pan.

  2. In a large bowl, stir together the cake mix and lime flavored gelatin. Combine the eggs, oil, and orange juice in a blender and blend for at least 5 minutes.

  3. Gradually add the blended ingredients to the dry mixture. Beat for 5 minutes using an electric mixer. Pour into the prepared pan.

  4. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. When the cake comes out of the oven, prick holes all over it using a fork.

  5. To make the glaze, combine the lime juice and confectioners sugar in a small bowl. Beat until smooth, then pour over the hot cake.

  6. Serve and enjoy!
