How To Make Crunchy Brussels Sprouts

For an easy, no-sweat side dish, make these crunchy Brussels sprouts next time. This healthy dish comes together with minimal effort.

  • ½lbbrussels sprouts,trimmed and halved lengthwise
  • 2tbspolive oil
  • salt and freshly ground pepper


  1. Toss the Brussels sprouts with the oil, salt, and pepper and place in a small pan.

  2. Preheat broiler to medium heat.

  3. Place the pan under the broiler and brown the tops of the sprouts for about 5 minutes.

  4. Place the Brussels sprouts in the oven at 375 degrees F until nicely browned on the bottom.

  5. Do not stir — let them brown!
