This is a crispy and savory pork belly recipe with a maple glaze and crispy Brussels sprouts.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork belly, skin-on
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cups Brussels sprouts
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.

  2. Season pork belly generously with salt and pepper.

  3. Place pork belly skin side up on a wire rack over a baking sheet.

  4. Roast pork belly for 1.5 to 2 hours, until crispy and cooked through.

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar.

  6. Brush the maple glaze over the pork belly, and return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes until the glaze is bubbly and caramelized.

  7. In the meantime, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  8. Roast the Brussels sprouts in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until crispy and golden brown.

  9. Slice the pork belly into thick pieces, and serve with the crispy Brussels sprouts.
