How To Make Blackened Salmon Fillets Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.

  2. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.

  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and has a blackened crust.

  5. Remove the salmon fillets from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
