Beer Braised Chicken Wings Recipe

How To Make Beer Braised Chicken Wings

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 10 chicken wings (or drummettes)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 bottle beer (of choice)
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/4 cup honey
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  2. Using an oven-safe pan or skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.

  3. Coat the chicken with the pepper, paprika and salt.
  4. Cook the chicken onto the pan, tossing it around until the skin turns slightly brown.

  5. Remove from heat and add some of the beer into the skillet just until it partially covers the chicken.
  6. Allow it to cook for 20-25 minutes in the oven.

  7. In a separate pan, add the remaining beer and let it come to a simmer, stirring occasionally so that it does not burn.

  8. Add in the corn starch to thicken the sauce. Add in the honey and continue to stir.

  9. After the sauce has reached the desired thickness, remove from heat.

  10. Remove the cooked chicken from the pan and let it drain on a paper towel.

  11. Immediately toss it in the sauce until all the chicken pieces are coated. Plate and serve.
