How To Make Beer Braised Chicken Wings
These beer braised chicken wings tossed in beer glaze will satisfy chicken and booze lovers.
Ingredients
- 2 lb chicken wings
- 1 cup beer, preferably pale ale or lager
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp mustard powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
For Glaze:
- ½ cup beer, preferably pale ale or lager
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp yellow mustard, prepared
- ½ tsp cornstarch
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the oil, beer, chicken, and all your spices. Toss to combine.

Cover and set aside in a chilled area. Allow to marinate for at least an hour.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and prepare your glaze while waiting.

Combine all the ingredients for the glaze in a saucepot. Whisk until cornstarch has dissolved.

Bring glaze to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Continue simmering until reduced by half and thickened roughly 5 to 8 minutes. Stir occasionally and set aside in a warm area.

Transfer the chicken wings to a roasting pan, then pour beer around the chicken.

Braise in the oven until chickens are fully cooked, roughly an hour.

Drain from the braising pan, then transfer into a large bowl. Pour your warm glaze and toss until evenly coated. Serve immediately.
