- 1 ½ lb chicken (wings and drumsticks)
- 2 cups spicy barbecue sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 oz bourbon
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Rinse and pat the chicken dry. Rub them with salt and pepper.
In a pot, add barbecue sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, and bourbon.
Bring the mixture to a boil and turn it down to a simmer. Let it continue cooking on low for about 10 minutes.
Brush the chicken with the sauce and place it in the oven. Bake the chicken for 35 minutes.
Once it’s cooked through, brush it with more sauce and place it back in the oven on broil for 3 minutes. Serve.
